This document responds to the Joint Standing Committee on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Inquiry into NDIS Planning. The submission highlights the issues AHPA and our member associations have identified with the NDIS planning process and workforce.
AHPA recognises that the NDIS is still maturing and that the rapid pace of change is a major challenge for the NDIA and its planner workforce. However, the planning process remains an area of significant anxiety and is the greatest contributor to negative views of the Scheme for participants and providers.
