This document responds to the draft report from the Wound Management Working Group and its recommendations as part of the broader Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) Review.
The report identifies podiatry as one allied health profession with the expertise and potential to improve outcomes for patients with chronic foot wounds. AHPA’s response supports this and encourages the working group to also consider the role of other allied health professions in some types of wound management. Examples are provided in relation to specific recommendations.
