Migrant and Refugee Health Partnership to Department of Health, Expanding the eligibility for the Free Interpreting Service to allied health practitioners

For people who have English as a second language, access to interpreter services is crucial to safe health care from any practitioner. GPs are supported with free interpreter services but allied health in primary care are usually not. This is inequitable. AHPA worked with the Migrant and Refugee Health Partnership to call for a policy change.
