NDIS registration and practice standards submission

Allied Health Professions Australia and its member associations support the intentions of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Code of Conduct and the Quality and Safety Framework. Our submission to the Department of Social Services inquiry reflects our belief that the government must be careful to ensure that new standards and regulations don’t overly burden health providers, who are already covered by a range of standards and codes. Providers may find they are unable to participate in the disability marketplace if the costs of entry are too high.

AHPA’s submission is based on close consultation with our member associations and endeavours to provide an allied health perspective on potential issues that may arise from the proposed rules.
