The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is having a significant impact on countries around the world, including Australia. The Australian Government has implemented a range of policy and public health measures to reduce the spread of the virus.
In April 2020, the Senate established the Select Committee on COVID-19 to inquire into the Australian Government’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
AHPA’s submission to the COVID-19 Committee can be accessed via the Parliament of Australia website (submission no. 208). This document outlines the impact of the pandemic on the allied health sector in Australia, the effects of government initiatives, and the consequences of COVID-19 on consumer access to allied health services.
