The inaugural meeting of the Council for Connected Care took place on 7 June 2023.
The need for a connected healthcare system is greater than ever – one that’s accessible and secure and puts Australians even more firmly at the centre of their own healthcare.
The Plan
The Connecting Australian Healthcare – National Healthcare Interoperability Plan 2023-2028 (the Plan) was developed following extensive consultations with more than 150 stakeholders.
The Plan outlines a national vision to share consumer health information in a safe, secure and seamless manner and identifies 44 tangible actions across five priority areas relating to identity, standards, information sharing innovation and measuring benefits.
