Allied Health Clinical Information System Connections to My Health Record (Industry Offer) released

Published 3 September 2024

The Australian Digital Health Agency released a new Allied Health Clinical Information System Connections to My Health Record (Industry Offer) on the 2 September 2024 via AusTender.

The Industry Offer aims to increase the number of compliant CIS/EMR and/or mobile CIS/EMR software products that connect with My Health Record and enable electronic prescribing (where relevant). Most allied health professionals involved in chronic disease management and multidisciplinary care teams are not integrated to My Health Record.

Digital integration is key to allied health professionals sharing clinical information in secure, connected digital infrastructure that facilitates multidisciplinary team care. Safe, timely updating of information will improve consumer health outcomes and contribute to the digital transformation of Australia’s healthcare system.

The offer will enable allied health software providers to be conformant with the My Health Record system and enable electronic prescribing capabilities and support their use in the allied health sector. All CIS/EMR and/or mobile CIS/EMR software developers are encouraged to apply via AusTender.

For more information about the industry offer and how to participate, the Agency is holding a virtual industry briefing on Monday, 9 September 2024. To register for this briefing follow the link.

AHPA looks forward to the implementation of allied health digital integration pathways that lessen the administrative burden on providers and improve consumer care.
