CTF Australia, in conjunction with Whiteley Medical, is proud to announce the Keynote speaker for this annual symposium will be Prof Michael J Fisher, MD from the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and the University of Pennsylvania. Prof Fisher is Chair of the Steering Committee of the Department of Defence NF Clinical Trial Consortium and leads many other research Committees such as the Visual Outcomes Committee for REiNS (Response Evaluation in Neurofibromatosis and Schwannomatosis), and is co-PI of the NF1 Low Grade Glioma Synodos Project.
Prof Michael J. Fisher, MD, has a special interest in brain tumors and neurofibromatosis. He is an internationally recognised expert in NF-related tumours, particularly Optic pathway gliomas, Low-grade gliomas, medulloblastomas and Plexiform neurofibromas. His research focusses on identifying new treatments and exploring functional outcomes for children with tumours associated with NF1.
Following the keynote address, there will be presentations outlining the latest clinical thinking on research findings and treatment approaches for patients diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis (NF), types NF1 and NF2. The goal of this symposium is to bring together researchers and clinicians with the intention of sharing current research and knowledge and improving collaboration in this diverse clinical community.
