Digital health webinars for allied health practitioners

Published 8 November 2019, revised 20 December 2019

Allied Health Professions Australia (AHPA) is pleased to present a series of three free webinars for allied health professions. The three webinars will be held on December 3rd, 4th and 5th with each webinar focused on a specific profession (physiotherapy, psychology, dietetics). The focus of the webinars is a practically focused overview of current digital health options and opportunities for allied health professionals. Participants should be able to claim CPD points for attendance by retaining their attendance confirmation but should confirm with their individual professional association.

While these webinars are profession-specific, we encourage anyone to join in if they think the content might still be relevant e.g. physiotherapy content is likely to have significant relevance for other musculoskeletal professions. This is part of AHPA’s ongoing work to support allied health engagement with digital health, and we expect to deliver future webinars in other professional contexts.

Webinar overview

In this webinar participants will:

  1. Discuss digital health current status (what is available and how does it work for each professions)
  2. List client benefits and relevant digital health use cases.
  3. View health summaries via My Health Record.
  4. Meet a digital health ‘champion’.
  5. Develop a plan for integrating digital health in practice.

Resources will be made available as part of the webinar to assist any allied health professionals interested in finding out more or beginning to set themselves up to use digital health.
