Published 13 November 2018, revised 2 January 2019

Allied Health Professions Australia (AHPA) is pleased to present the Introduction to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) for Allied Health Professionals course. This course has been developed by AHPA and its member associations to provide an introduction to the NDIS for allied health professionals who may be considering providing services to participants in the scheme.

About the training

The AHPA NDIS training consists of four modules:

  • Module 1: Overview of the NDIS
  • Module 2: NDIS Participant Plans, Goals and Outcomes
  • Module 3: Introduction to NDIS Funded Supports for AHPs
  • Module 4: My NDIS Pathway – How AHPs Provide Support

After completing the four modules, it is expected that allied health professionals will have a much more thorough understanding of the NDIS and how the scheme impacts on the delivery of services for people with disabilities (participants).

We expect that to complete the training and the associated reading will take approximately six hours.
