Play Therapy Practitioners Association

About

The Play Therapy Practitioners Association (PTPA) is the peak professional body for play therapists in Australia. The Association was founded in 2018 by a group of likeminded professionals committed to advocating for the training and provision of play therapy services across Australia.

PTPA aims to promote the play therapy profession to the wider community, advocating for the evidence-based approach to be used as the preferred psychotherapeutic intervention for children and young people.

Members of PTPA have completed suitable undergraduate qualifications and postgraduate studies in play therapy to practice in a variety of settings including private practice, government and non-government settings.
